Extending the life of reinforced concrete structures for Halcrow
Polymer Composite reinforcement extends the life of conventional structures by 20% with no additional oncost
Developing world class products for Halmatic
The worlds first Glass Reinforced Thermoplastic boat hull.
In situ pipelining
In the streets of Denmark, EPL are conducting trials on the relining of water pipes. Large diameter pipes several kilometeres in length are being relined using the latest glass reinforced thermoplastic materials using patented processes from Europrojects Ltd.
Ballistics
Multi functional materials used in reinforced composites can be produced with blast resistant or ballistic protection proerties. EPL are developing lightweight, low cost solutions in air, urban transport and building applications.
Fire resistant composites
Low cost, lightweight reinforced composites have many applications in transport and construction. Thermoplastic composites provide the breakthrough to low toxicity, low spread of flame. EPL and major material suppliers envisage application in the near future which will satisfy stringent safety strandards without comporomising the environment.

Lighting Columns
Deaths and injuries are caused when vehicles smash into concrete or steel lighting columns and utility poles. EPL have installed passively safe columns that either breakaway or safely absorb energy and stop a vehicle within the length of a column

Crash Barriers
Composite crash barriers are designed to absorb energy and deflect vehicles back into the carriageway. The EPL design adapts to the height and size of vehicle upon impact to cope with a small car and a heavy truck.

Box van bodies
Lightweight thermoplastic panels reduce cost and manufacturing time during body building. The thermoplastic composite has the strength of glass reinforcement and is easily welded to create all corner joints.

Wind turbine blades
EPL is developing reinforced thermoplastic turbine blades with many advantages over thermoset construction. Cost, durability, toughness and recyclability all become very significant issues when looking at offshore environments.

Portable housing
Lightweight, rot-proof and insulating reinforced thermoplastic panels are proven to match most environmental conditions. Patented construction systems are being developed for emergency accomodation units and housing.

Decking
Lightweight reinforced thermoplastic panels are so tough they are used to replace timber as an impact resistant durable decking for truck trailers. Other applications include temporary staging and roadways for trucks and vehicles in snow or mud.
